Fun Goalie Fact

Hall of Fame goaltender Bill Durnan had specially designed gloves that served as both blocker and catcher which allowed him to switch hands in the middle of play! Durnan, played all seven of his NHL seasons with the Montreal Canadiens from 1943-44 to 1949-50 and was the last NHL goalie ever to serve as a captain to his team.
